For those of you have have been reading The Lunar Report and it’s companion blog, Lunacy, well you know what a special guy I am.  Quite often, I am chosen, from among billions of world-wide humans.  Being chosen means a great deal to me.

There was the time my bank account and I were chosen in some international internet debit card fraud scheme (click here for “Victim” On The Lunar Report, March 28, 2010.)

And the time I was chosen from hundreds of air travelers to be fondled by a really nice guy (click here for “Same-Sex Encounter” on The Lunar Report, December 6, 2010.) 

And of course the time when some woman named, Maria chose me from, again billions world-wide, to send bogus money orders to (click here for “Maria From Kokomo” on The Lunar Report, March 19, 2011.)

Well this time, it’s the worst.  I have been chosen again, and this one is despicable.  This one involves disease and infection. 

My Mama once said to me, “You use a computer, right?”

“Yes, Maam,” I responded.

“Oh please be careful, honey,” she said.  “I’ve been seeing on television that computers can give you viruses.”

Well, once again, I should have listened to Mama.  My tiny little $200 NetBook is now locked up with consistent warnings that I purchase some “Microsoft Protection” to rid the poor little guy of all it’s infections and allow me to play solitaire again.  Hey!  I’ve gotten my $200 worth out of that little thing.  And Microsoft or whoever is asking me to pay over a quarter of the original value of that damned thing for protection?  Nice try, Pals.

Still, I do feel kind of honored.  You know.  To be chosen again.  I love it!
